Welcome to the Mongrel Club, somewhere you can find a few jokes – trade a little information – win a few pairs of Mongrel Boots and keep up with what is happening with Australia’s fastest growing and most genuine boot company.
WHY JOIN THE MONGREL CLUB?
First up we give you a place to put forward your views on things that affect you. We will call it Mongrel Matters – whether it’s a funny story or a sad one or perhaps a thoughtful one like “how the government could improve life in the country” we would like to hear from you. Mongrel Matters isn’t just about the country. We make our boots in Australia for everyone – so we’d like to hear from you wherever you come from.
MONGREL DOG WINNER
We had so many great looking and not so great looking Mongrels we are only now getting to announce the winner. “And the winner is” - Lorita Kaduck from Howrah, Tasmania. We think the best caption on the pic is probably – “You should see the other mongrel!”. Anyway, thanks to all the Mongrel Club members for their entries and we look forward to seeing even better ones in our “Travelling Mongrels" comp – announced in this issue. In the meantime we’ll let Brutus get back to his three legged shuffle!
WPR V8 UTE TEAM
Damien (Iceman) White, with just two rounds left of the 06 Australian V8 Utes Racing Series is a great chance to record a podium finish in the overall championship. Currently placed 6th in the points race - the IMB ute driven by Damien and part-sponsored by Mongrels -recently recorded a third top 3 for the series.
WPR (Wollongong Performance Racing) team member Ashley (Dragon) Cooper is currently placed in the top ten for the series and looks a great chance for Rookie of the Year. The final round is to be held November 25/26 at Eastern Creek. Look out for the TV replay on Dec 8. We’ll keep you up to date or you can visit www.wprracing.com.au.
TRAVELLING MONGRELS COMPETITION
Recently a few Mongrel Dealers suggested we have a competition based on pics of Mongrel Boots on their travels. They even sent us a couple examples like the ones shown here. You’ll be happy to know they aren’t eligible forentry! But they might give you some ideas. This time we’ll give two pairs to the winners and one pair each for second and third.
Now you will need a little time to make your travel plans – so we’ll give you till Feb 1 2007 for your entry. We don’t mind if you are in the pic with the boots – but the boots are an absolute requirement. Just email your pics to editor@mongrelboots.com.au.
MORE JOKES
Our site stats suggest there are a lot on Mongrels out there with a sense of humour. We’ve updated the video jokes section with a swag of new clips . If you have any great ones – share them with the Mongrel Editor.

NEW MONGRELS ROAD SIGNS

Our latest Mongrels outdoor campaign has started in NSW, Vic and Queensland. The photograph has again been taken by noted Australian Mongrel Photographer David Darcy. The slogan is "all the comforts of home" – which pretty much sums up a very important attribute of a pair of Mongrels – they are really comfortable. By the way you can find out about the boots from the catalogue on the Mongrel Boots website. If you’d like to more about David and his books and pics featuring great Australian Mongrel dogs then visit www.mongrel.com.au.
